2022-2023 Community Resource Development Funds Awardees

Three community-based organizations are this year’s recipients of the Community Resource Development Funds, a funding made available to Circle of Care through DCF-NJ Children’s System of Care.  These funds are a means to expand and build capacity on services and programs for youth and families in Passaic county, in the areas of behavioral health, mental health, substance use and developmental disabilities.  This years awardees, who stood out among a pool of 15 organizations,  will focus on the areas of vocational training for youth with developmental disabilities, character building, psychoeducation and prevention, and mitigating the academic impact that COVID 19 has had in our students.

Congratulations to our 2022-2023 awardees:

  • OASIS: A Haven for Women and Children – Afterschool Academy: this program provides academic and social-emotional learning support to ensure that each child reaches level proficiency in math and language arts and becomes college ready.

  • Children’s Aid and Family Services: Through 2 cycles of the “7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens”, CAFS will look to provide teenagers in both upper and lower Passaic County with an evidence-based socio-emotional learning curriculum that will focus on self and social awareness, self-management,  relationship skills and responsible decision-making.

  • Jewish Family Service of Clifton/Passaic:  “Impact Café: a Pop up business” is intended to be an extension to JFS’s vocational training program for youth with disabilities.  Through this mobile kiosk, participants will receive on-the-job, paid training.

Circle of Care would like to thank all the organizations that participated in the bidding process, as well as our system partners from CASA, Highlands FSC, CIACC and our staff who supported us through the selection process.  We’re excited and looking forward to seeing these fantastic programs be implemented in our county!
